What is CBD?
CBD has become one of the most popular wellness ingredients in the world. There is now a huge variety of CBD products available – many of which can be found right here at Infusd. CBD is one of the many compounds found in the hemp plant. It belongs to a category of plant compounds known as cannabinoids, many of which have been found to hold some impressive health and wellness properties. None of these compounds, however, have gained as much popularity as CBD.
CBD is extracted from the leaves and flowers (sometimes called CBD flowers) of the hemp plant. This compound interacts with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in our bodies. These interactions have been found to trigger a number of natural bodily functions, such as mood and temperature regulation and pain signalling.
CBD Oils are typically the combination of a CBD extract and a carrier oil. The extract used in these products can be either CBD Isolate, broad- or full-spectrum CBD. Carrier oils are used to adjust the dosage of CBD Oils, like our Bubblegum CBD Drops, and to make them easier to administer.
The most popular carrier oils used for CBD oils include hemp seed oil, olive oil, and coconut oil (MCT). Here at Infusd, we use high-quality coconut oil (MCT).
CBD Oils are commonly confused with another popular health and wellness product – hemp oil. While there are of course some similarities between these two products – the most obvious being the fact that they are both extracted from the hemp plant – there are some crucial differences. The most significant difference is the part of the plant the oil is extracted from.
Hemp oils are typically extracted from the seeds of the plant which contain little to no CBD. As a result, hemp oils (also called hemp seed oils) generally contain no more than trace amounts of CBD. In contrast, CBD oils are extracted from the CBD-rich flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. In these CBD oral drops and CBD oil drops – and any other ‘CBD’ product for that matter – CBD is the single most important component.
As we mention above, CBD oils champion the potential of cannabidiol (CBD). This is especially the case for CBD Isolate products. Our CBD Isolate formulation is made using premium extraction methods that preserve CBD to the utmost standard while removing other compounds, leaving the purest CBD extract.
On the other hand, other CBD extract products available on the market also contain a number of other cannabis compounds. For example, Full-Spectrum Oils contain a full range of cannabinoids, often including THC. Similarly, Broad-Spectrum CBD Oils contain CBD in addition to various other cannabinoids and terpenes, but with THC removed.
CBD Isolate on the other hand contains almost pure (99%) cannabidiol. Here at Infusd, we choose to champion the unique power of CBD – pure and simple.
Many CBD Oil products – including our range of CBD Drops – feature a drop applicator. This allows for easy and convenient dosing and application. For example, the most common way to take CBD oils is through sublingual administration.
This means applying a few drops of CBD oil (the exact dose is up to you!) where it can be effectively absorbed into your bloodstream. This allows the CBD to bypass the digestive system and be delivered straight to your bloodstream where it can be used effectively.
However, there are a number of other ways to take your Bubblegum CBD Oil. Many consumers prefer to add their CBD Oil to food and drink. Why not try adding a few drops to your favourite soft drink or cocktail? You can use our Bubblegum CBD Drops to add a tasty CBD boost in any way you choose!
CBD has become a popular health and wellness ingredient for a wide range of people looking for various benefits. While CBD is now widely considered a wellness staple, with millions of people using CBD products as a common feature of their general wellness regime, others swear by its more specific benefits.
For example, a vast amount of anecdotal evidence suggests that CBD may be useful for reducing feelings of stress and anxiety. A growing number of studies are also demonstrating the potential of CBD to promote better sleep and even to relieve pain.
Our products have been carefully developed to promote the potential benefits of CBD; however, they are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease or health condition. You should always consult a medical professional if you are concerned about your health or if you are considering using CBD in combination with your current medications.
