To many, CBD appears to have become a bit of a buzzword. It seems you can’t talk to a group of friends or head down your high street – or even to your local supermarket! – without coming across CBD.
While it is true that the immense rise in popularity over recent years has made CBD almost a mainstream health ingredient, many people still don’t really know what it is. Things get even more complicated when we get into CBD Isolates, full-spectrum CBD and broad-spectrum CBD. So, what is CBD?
CBD is one of many natural compounds known as cannabinoids. These compounds are produced exclusively by the hemp or cannabis plant – but don’t let their association with cannabis scare you! Many – including CBD – are completely non-intoxicating. In fact, some evidence suggests that CBD may actually be able to reverse some of the psychoactive effects of another cannabinoid – THC.
Instead of causing a ‘high’, CBD has been found to have a vast number of promising therapeutic benefits. It is these benefits of CBD that have made this particular cannabinoid so popular within the wellness space.
We use high-quality hemp-derived CBD Isolate, sourced from expert growers in the USA. CBD Isolate is the purest form of CBD available (at around 99% purity). Using this type of extract allows us to truly champion the incredible and unique potential of CBD and deliver the most authentic and reliable CBD experience to each and every one of our clients.
We are not only dedicated to offering the highest-quality CBD products, but also to educating our customers on the amazing potential of CBD. Most of all, we are dedicated to delivering the purest and the best CBD experience in the UK and we firmly believe that CBD Isolate is the way to achieve this.
Over the last few decades, a growing number of clinical trials and studies have aimed to understand the unique benefits of CBD. The results of these trials – along with unlimited anecdotal evidence from dedicated CBD users – suggest that CBD can be a useful health supplement for promoting healthy sleep, reduced anxiety, and effective recovery. Many of these studies focus on isolated CBD.

Cannabinoids like CBD are able to interact with a receptor system expressed throughout both our central nervous system and our immune system. This receptor system is known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS has been found to play an important role in a number of vital bodily functions, including temperature and mood regulation, digestion and fertility, and pain signalling.
CBD binds with endocannabinoid receptors (CB1 or CB2 receptors) to trigger the release of other chemicals, including endocannabinoids and hormones like serotonin and dopamine. These receptors are present in many parts of our bodies, making CBD a very versatile supplement.
As you can see from our CBD range above, there are now a huge number of CBD products available. Each of these products is designed to deliver CBD in a specific way, with some products being more suited for particular aims. Here at Infusd, we have developed a number of high-quality CBD Isolate products, including CBD Oils, CBD Lip Balms, CBD Sports recovery products – and much more!
CBD products typically fall into one of the following categories, topicals, tinctures, or edibles; however, there are many other products that don’t neatly fit into these categories. Our CBD Bath Bomb, for example, releases a healthy dose of CBD into your bath allowing it to slowly absorb through your skin.
Just as there is a wide range of CBD products, there are also many ways to take it. As we mentioned earlier, the wide expression of CB1 and CB2 receptors throughout our bodies means that there are various routes of CBD administration. However, it should be noted that the ‘best’ way to take CBD will depend on your reason for taking CBD and the area you would like to target.
One of the most popular ways to take CBD is via CBD oils. These oils are usually applied sub-lingually – that’s under your tongue. Adding a few drops of CBD oil here and holding it for a few moments to encourage absorption allows the CBD to bypass the digestive system. This helps to preserve as much CBD as possible as it makes its way to the bloodstream.
Alternatively, you can target a specific area of your body with topical products. These are applied directly to the affected area – for example, sore muscles or strained joints to encourage localised relief.
CBD is believed to have a huge array of potential benefits – though there is stronger evidence to support some of these compared to others. Millions of people have begun to use CBD products as a daily supplement, simply to aid their general health and wellness. On the other hand, many people also use CBD products with the hope that it will benefit a particular area of their life – and many claim that it they have done just that.
While the clinical evidence is still in its infancy for many of the perceived benefits of CBD, there is abundant anecdotal evidence to suggest that the cannabinoid could help to improve sleep, reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, and even relieve pain. Our products have been carefully crafted to promote each of these potential benefits to the highest degree. As we have mentioned, there are a huge number of great CBD products out there to choose from. Many of these products can be found right here at Infusd. While you might be thrilled by all the choices out there, you may also be wondering which is the right product for you. The real answer to this question will depend on the individual and their preferences; however, there is a simple guide to go by if you really don’t know which CBD product you should try first.
First of all, you should figure out what you are hoping to get from your CBD product. For example, if you are looking to introduce CBD into your daily routine as a health supplement (which we recommend for everyone), then a generalised product like our CBD Oils might be the way to go – check out our CBD Drops Bundle to save on all our delicious flavours!
On the other hand, if you are looking to target a specific area following an injury or exercise, a topical product like our CBD Muscle Rub or our CBD Joint Relief Cream is probably a better option. For sleep, our CBD Bath Bomb, infused with Epsom Salts and lavender is a great way to ease into a sound sleep.
Of course, there is nothing to stop you from trying out multiple products at the same time – in fact, we actively encourage it! This will allow you to target cannabinoid receptors on both a generalised and localised level.
This is a common question that many people have when it comes to CBD Oils. Luckily, it is fairly easy to answer. While both of these products do come from the hemp plant, they are not the same.
Hemp is an extremely versatile plant that produces a number of compounds to varying extents depending on the part of the plant. For example, while hemp seeds contain an abundance of useful and healthy nutrients, they contain very little CBD.
In most cases, hemp oil is made using hemp seeds. Therefore, they usually contain little to no CBD. In comparison, CBD Oils are made from the CBD-rich leaves and flowers of the plant. Within this category, there are several extract types: broad-spectrum, full-spectrum, and CBD Isolate.
Each of these extract types contains CBD – either alone or in addition to other cannabinoids and terpenes. Here at Infusd, we exclusively use CBD Isolate in all our products, including our range of CBD Oil Drops
